Each BattleMech is piloted by an elite soldier: a MechWarrior. Using a complex system of joysticks and foot-pedals combined with a neurohelmet linking the pilot's own sense of balance to the 'Mech's gyroscope, the best MechWarriors can move their four-story-tall vehicles with an agility and grace that defies their multi-ton bulk. This flexibility, combined with skills learned through intense training and hard-won experience, make the MechWarrior the ultimate soldier, and the BattleMech his ultimate suit of armor.
